One on One Photography
RATES $295+HSt for a half day outing.
As photographers, whether we are hobby photographers, or professionals, we all have a list of subjects we would like to capture. For Richard, it’s animals and nature…
Wildlife photography tours and workshops are a perfect way to develop new skills, learn to get the most out of your camera, discover birds and other wildlife, or just discover new locations.
Over the past 5 years, Richard has invested many hours, walked many trails, and driven countless kilometres in search of all of the wildlife you see in this gallery. It takes research, money and energy to have these encounters in nature. Many days can be spent waiting for a specific photo opportunity, only to come up empty. (The first thing you must learn as a wildlife photographer, is patience). Richard looks forward to being your photo guide, and taking you to places where you have a great chance of encountering wildlife, but ethically, he’s not here to give out locations. Spotting specific wildlife is not a guarantee. Nature happens around us, and we will always put wildlife first. When we go out, we are in their home, and we will always respect that. We will not chase, touch, or feed/bait anything that we photograph.
A typical photo tour would begin at 7:00a.m., and conclude between 12:00-1:00p.m. Early morning light makes for wonderful photos, and clicking some sunrise photos is always a good start to your day. It is important that you have a firm understanding of how your camera works, so the focus of the day can be on nature. You must also have enough fitness to be on your feet, walk varying terrain, and be prepared to deal with any changes in weather.

Photography Workshops(Private or Group)
RATES STARTING AT $495+HST/1-4PERSON Group
Unlike the photography tours, Richard would like the workshops to be geared more toward the beginner.
